The Local is a grassroots community newspaper in its eighth year of operation. The Local reflects the heart and soul of the communities of the Sunshine Coast, delivering weekly on Thursdays from Langdale to Egmont. We are locally staffed and supported by businesses and readers along the coast and are truly the "people's paper". While we strive to to be 100% produced locally, we must be printed on the lower mainland due to the presses we require to do our printing. We welcome visitors to the Sunshine Coast with information on local events, locations and times - come for the sunshine, stay for the fun!
