Be on the lookout for trees

Overnight on March 31, a suspect stole 2,300 small trees that were left near the powerline by Trout Lake that had been waiting distribution and planting. The 13 boxes of one-foot tall cedar seedlings were taken from a pallet and would have fit the bed of a pickup truck. Some of the seedlings had white labels with “Woodmore Nursery” on them as well as information about the seedling variety. Also stolen was a spine board, a basket stretcher, and white “Silvacool” tarp with a silver liner used to regulate tree temperatures. Anyone with any information about this theft is asked to contact RCMP, reference file 2018-2026.
