2014 Hunting Regulations Synopsis now available

The 2014-2016 Hunting and Trapping Regulations Synopsis is now online, and will soon be available in hard copy at Service BC centres and local hunting licence vendors across the province.

The Hunting and Trapping Regulations Synopsis is published every two years, and is a summary of the BC hunting and trapping regulations made under the Wildlife Act, prepared for the convenience of hunters and trappers. Hunters should note that the 2014-2016 Hunting and Trapping Regulations Synopsis is effective from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2016; the 2012-2014 Hunting and Trapping Regulations Synopsis remains in effect until June 30, 2014.

This year’s cover photo depicts an outdoorsman looking out on one of the many amazing vistas in BC’s northeast. For any shutterbugs that want to be similarly immortalized, a second contest is still underway for the cover of the 2015-2017 Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis. Photos submitted must be relevant to freshwater angling in British Columbia, and there is no limit to the number of submissions. Photographs for the Fishing Synopsis must be e-mailed to synopsiscoverphoto@gov.bc.ca before October 1, 2014 to be considered.
