This poster took first place in a contest for young people to promote astronomy on the Sunshine Coast. Entitled “Sleepers of Ephesus,” it was designed by Jessica Carroll, 14, of Roberts Creek, who won a telescope from the Royal Astronomical Society. Another telescope, for those under 10, was awarded to sisters Miyo, aged 5, and Taho, 7, Shinagawa of Davis Bay for their poster. Bette Chadwick photo
