Shortly before 6pm on Thursday, November 13, police, Gibsons Fire department, and paramedics were called to Harvey Road and Marine Drive in Gibsons, after a car crashed through a fence and went down an embankment.
The driver had been southbound on Harvey Rd., when he missed the stop sign at
Marine Dr., and drove through a nearby fence. The car came to rest near the front door of the home below. The driver sustained only minor injuries. The investigation is
continuing.
“This is a good reminder that with the darker evenings and slippery roads, it is all the more important to slow down and drive with care,” said Cst Harrison Mohr with Sunshine Coast RCMP. “In this case everyone was very lucky that the car did not go into the house, it certainly could have been much worse.” Submitted
