Davis Bay Wharf Re-opening
Thursday July 17 – Davis Bay Wharf opening ceremony begins at 3:30 pm
Free Shuttle Bus Downtown Sechelt: 2:30 pm on the half hour the bus will depart Cowrie Street at Ocean Avenue.
3 pm Entertainment by Reg and Lynne Dickson
4 pm Official Re-opening ceremony at the wharf head followed by musical sets by Joe Stanton and the Creek Big Band.
Rotary Club providing hotdogs and cold pop for $1
IMPORTANT!
Traffic Control – in place on Hwy 101 near the wharf starts at 2:30. Hwy open but expect delays.
Parking Restrictions – in celebration area – priority to vehicles for people with disabilities decals.
Free Shuttle Bus – For easy access to the event, or carpool, bike or come on foot to the event.
Free Shuttle Bus: On the hour: the bus will depart Davis Bay from the parking area on the beach side of the Seawall adjacent to Bay Road near postal boxes.
Park and Ride: Vehicle parking at District Offices and Sechelt Library/Aquatic centre lot if you want to park and ride the shuttle bus to and from the event.
Prepare for Weather – Limited weather protection, so bring appropriate clothes and sun protection.
Reserved Seating – To thank corporate sponsors, community partners and officials involved with the project, a portion of the wharf head deck is reserved seating. Portable chairs are welcome for visitors who want to bring them.
