Sunshine Coast ElderCollege would like to invite the community to attend our free Fall 2016 course preview on Thursday, August 25, 10–11.30 am at the Sechelt campus of Capilano University.
ElderCollege is a community of individuals aged 55 plus with a zest for learning and exploring life as we continue to broaden our horizons. We offer a wealth of valuable courses and activities throughout the year to the Sunshine Coast community.
Originally part of Capilano University, Sunshine Coast ElderCollege became an independent non-profit society in October 2015. We work in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Regional District and in association with Capilano University
Course registration now takes place through the SCRD and will be more convenient and accessible. Look for us in the SCRD Parks and Recreation brochure. Our new partnership with the SCRD means an 11 per cent course cost reduction. Courses are $42 (GST included). The majority of courses will continue to be held at Capilano University’s Sunshine Coast campus.
Fall courses are: Topics for Lively Conversation; Artists in the Studio; A New Lens on the Past; Create Stunning Photos with an iPhone Camera; iPad for Beginners; Stop Scaring Yourself: Don’t Worry so Much; Foraging for Mushrooms; The Cinema of Peter Watkins, Political Provocateur; Keep on Driving; Adventure Travel; Myths About Science; Love and the Bard; International Security and the Middle East.
If you are under the age of 55 and would like to take one of our courses, you can be put on a waiting list if the course is not full.
