This is the 40th year for the Festival of The Performing Arts. It provides a great opportunity for young people to display their talents, while receiving constructive feedback from experts in the field – which in turn helps them to take their performance to the next level. Many of the young performers have been granted medals at the performance recently and even some cash prizes for their hard work and dedication. If you haven’t seen these amazing performers yet, there will be a Festival Highlights Concert on April 28 at the Raven’s Cry Theatre.
The festival has been supporting youth in our community even providing them opportunity to attend the provincial levels. The festival has several opportunities this year for interested parties to join the board and continue this wonderful work for years to come. They have a call out for candidates in several positions, including President and Vice President.
