The third annual Roberts Creek Arts Festival returns with a unique blend of live music, art installations, film, food, and fun staged at eight venues during the Victoria Day long weekend (May 16 – 18). Park the car and catch the free shuttle from venue to venue, or ride your bike (show your helmet and enter a draw to win a $200 Spin Cycles certificate). A festival wristband ($5) ensures admission to all weekend daytime performances. For evening event information and festival line-up, visit www.robertscreekartsfestival.com. A festival guide and program will be included in the March 15 edition of The Local Weekly.
The opening reception on Friday, May 16 from 7 – 10 p.m. at Goldmoss Gallery, 2840 Lower Road for their installation ‘Aerial,’ features all new works by seven coastal and mainland artists, including renowned Canadian contemporary artist Shawn Hunt, plus music by Warless. Admission to the reception is $20 at the door, which includes a $5 festival wristband, complimentary beverage and appetizers.
