I am pleased to see that the Sunshine Coast Community Services Society is planning on expanding their program space to incorporate, not only their myriad services like the food bank, family and child counselling, child development and youth services and so much more, but have the vision to add four storeys to create up to 35 units of affordable housing for women and children.
This redevelopment on their current site will provide safe, affordable and appropriate housing that will allow women and families at risk to re-establish their lives.
For more information and to receive a link to show support to the District of Sechelt for these plans people can email friendssccss@gmail.com.
