Meldrum Memorial Drag Race set for June 22

Due to the May 25 event rain out, the Ted Meldrum Memorial Drag Race has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 22 at the Sechelt Airport. Spectators with their wrist band from the May race will be admitted at no charge. Fees will be waived for racers who registered and paid for the May event. New entries for this event are welcome; fees are $35 for members of the Sunshine Coast Drag Racing Association, $50 for non-members. All are welcome to attend this familyfriendly, alcohol-free public event.

Bring friends, chairs, and sunscreen but please, leave pets at home; absolutely no animals are permitted. Gate admission (for those without wristbands) is $10 per person, children under 12 free if accompanied by an adult.

Gates open at 7 a.m. for Street Machine, Super Street, Street Rod, Hot Rod and Exhibition class racers, with tech inspection from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Racing begins at 9 a.m.
