Sunshine Coast RCMP have confirmed that a kayaker feared missing is alive and in the Powell River area. On August 1, the RCMP requested the public’s assistance in locating a missing person, who was kayaking from Sechelt to Powell River.
On August 4, RCMP received a call from a family member of the missing person, who spoke with him that day and confirmed he is okay and in the Powell River area. RCMP are still looking to speak with the kayaker in person but are glad to hear he is alive and thank the public for their assistance.
