On Dec. 13 around 9:30pm, a suspect set off a car alarm in the 5600 block of Inlet Avenue, Sechelt. The suspect, who’d smashed the rear window of the vehicle as well as the passenger rear side window, appears to have been targetting tools that had been left in the back seat, but fled at the sounding alarm without stealing anything. Police remind drivers to remove any valuables from plain sight to deter opportunistic thieves. Submitted by RCMP
