On Sept. 3, at almost midnight, a Caucasian male in his 40’s approached a group of youths standing in a field near Sunnycrest Mall in Gibsons.
Some words were exchanged, and the male allegedly brandished a weapon, before walking away into the bushes. The youths were unharmed, and after calling police, they provided a detailed description of the male and the incident. Police were able to identify the suspect who is known to them, and he was arrested without incident on Sept. 5 in Gibsons.
Due to the seriousness of the allegation, the male will be held until trial.
