The Sechelt Downtown Business Association opened its seasonal Thursday Night Market on Cowrie Street with music, buskers, food, classic cars, great deals for sidewalk shoppers, and lots of fun for kids of all ages. After Mayor Henderson and Sunshine Coast Credit Union CEO Shelley McDade cut the ribbon to officially open the event, volunteer firefighters brought out the ladder truck, let the little ones try on the heavy hats and flameproof jackets, and posed for photos. RCMP officers offered kids a chance to sit in the front seat of a patrol car, producing delighted grins and photo ops. BC Transit rolled out their newest level-floor community bus for public inspection.
The Night Market runs each Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30pm throughout the summer.
