Sunshine Coast Fencing Club (SCFC) swept the medals in one division (Y14 Foil) and ran off with nine medals in all – four gold, one silver and four bronze – at the TFA Youth Circuit Grand Final competition in Coquitlam on Sunday, June 1.
The SCFC owned the podium in the Y14 foil competition, with Fynn Mansbridge-Fafard taking gold, Landseer Enga capturing silver, and Mikaly Newton walking off with bronze. Mansbridge-Fafard, the team’s top medal winner, also captured gold in the Cadet Foil division, and took home bronze in Cadet Epee.
Younger but every bit as intense, the Y12 epee division contenders also captured three medals: Gold for Caelan Meyer, and bronze for Landseer Enga and Dylan Stiles.
Dakota Stiles scored gold in the Cadet Epee contest.
