On Oct. 17, a westbound ambulance driver reported being pressed from behind on Highway 101 near Monkey Tree Lane, Sechelt, by a vehicle which then passed on the left before abruptly cutting in front of the ambulance without signaling. The vehicle driver then suddenly applied his brakes, causing the ambulance driver in turn to hit his brakes hard to avoid a collision. The sudden stop disrupted the attendant helping a patient in the back of the ambulance. Police are still investigating the incident and will be following up with the vehicle driver who has been identified.
