Tip of the Week
The Sun enters Taurus on April 19 at 2:27 pm (all times listed in PDT) and engages Retrograde Mercury in an interesting exchange as they first form an exact conjunction at 10:54 pm and then Mercury re-enters Aries, the previous sign, at 10:37 am on April 20th. Since we are referring to planets and stars, the time factor is very close.
All the while, the Moon arrived at 4th Quarter on the 19th as well at 2:57 am while at the 29th degree of Capricorn with the Sun at the 29th of Aries. A planet at 29 degrees is regarded at ‘critical’ in astrology and symbolizes ‘something to be overcome’. What should be overcome merits more than one answer, but it includes crimes against humanity perpetrated by powers that are securely concealed from public view.
This is also the Moon Phase that produces the effect of the Moon appearing to be cut exactly in half. Otherwise called a Sun/Moon Square, this is a complicated aspect which can be described as the left hand not knowing what the right is up to. It also marks a sharp turning point so expect some noticeable shifts or have a peek back over the past week.
Pluto turning retrograde on April 20th as well at 5:49 am and Mars entering Gemini on April 21st, indicating that it too has been hovering at 29 Taurus all the while added even more fervor to the series of events listed above. Mars in Taurus is a challenging sign position for the red planet as the Yang active force meets the Yin fixed principle at its peak. Altogether, the Sun entering Taurus is eventful indeed.
Aries (Mar. 21-Apr. 19)
The contrary energies active now will require extra patience by everyone and not least of all you. Mercury re-entering Aries will add to the challenge by leaving you feeling impatient. The Sun in Taurus and Venus in Pisces are a saving grace. Imagine walking naked in a hot rainforest to keep your spirits up.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)
A charge forward should be evident now. Mercury in Aries will not exactly help, however. It could leave full of energy but uncertain where or how to direct it. To overcome this, try to make snap decisions regarding the small stuff and activate a momentum that pushes you to be proactive.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Mars entering Gemini on the heels of the Sun in Taurus and Mercury in Aries will both ignite new dreams and trigger the impulse to act on them. There is a great saying that suggests that even having dreams at all is positive, regardless of whether they are realized. Maybe you can do one better and realize both.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The Bull will activate your sense of individuality supported by a burst of creative energy. Mercury Rx could add to your sensitivity to public opinion, however, so focus on offsetting that. Amidst a steady pace of seeking of late, you may benefit by slowing down and simply being. Communion and contemplation will add depth to this cause.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
The time has come to take new initiatives. These include the support of significant others. Focus on working with them and asserting your determination to be fair in both directions. Venus in Pisces could, ironically, manifest as taking advantage of others or the reverse. Can it innocence or naivety, but just be aware and deflect it.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22)
The Sun in Taurus can actually prove to be quite adventurous for you. This time around it could well include romantic encounters. Yet, things are probably not quite as they appear. Avoid engaging people at face value. Exercise full empathy and remember, as the Buddha says, all beings suffer. Center in your heart before you advance.
Libra (Sep. 23-Oct. 22)
Recent relationship encounters are now entering their next effective phase, the deep end. This is when their future potential will be assessed and tested. Was it all an emotional and imaginative ride or were there actually some seeds of destiny there? You will know the answer soon. Focus on asserting your genuine thoughts and feelings about it all.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
You have probably been working fairly hard of late. Expect your mood to shift this week. You are ready for more social activity and perhaps some romance too. The danger now is that you will think more than you perhaps should and act less than you may wish you did. Coming back to this moment now, connect with the one(s) you love.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You are coming out of a playful cycle and hopefully, you found the openings to do just that. Now it is time for quality time close to home. This could well manifest as the joyful process of fully transitioning into spring. Clean-up and adding to the beauty of your living environment is highlighted.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
All being well, you got the jump on spring. If not, there is still time to do those chores. Yet, striking a balance between intellectual and emotional activities is also featured. This could lead to upsets if not handled well. An invitation to be creative has been sounded. Aim for variety for balance.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Many fresh perspectives have been blooming in your mind like spring flowers. This lovely momentum will actually continue and deepen this week. It will inspire you to be more playful and creative too, especially next week. The main culprit now is miscommunication leading to misunderstanding. Nip them in the bud.
Pisces (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)
The current array of planetary shifts should produce some satisfying momentums. Yet, these may take a while to build to the levels you truly want. Faith and patience remain keywords. Avoid trying to control people and events in any undue fashion. Reach out to connect then patiently trust the results that will come, soon.
